Quividi extends the breadth of its leading audience measurement solution

Introduced at the ISE tradeshow (Amsterdam, Netherlands), the three new products are addressing the growing need for contextual, real-time data for Digital Signage.

Amsterdam, Feb 10th 2016 – Quividi is presenting on booth 8-E340 the Expert version of its popular face detection and analysis VidiReports software, the new version of its enterprise VidiCenter online service, as well as the brand new VidiStudio campaign creation editor.

Enhancing the VidiReports-Pro software that already equips 350 digital signage networks worldwide comes VidiReports Expert, with a series of new high performance algorithms. While VidiReports Pro delivers the key metrics indispensable to assess the global impact of a screen network (number of opportunities to see and number of real viewers, dwell and attention time, gender and age class), VidiReports Expert now also provides the absolute age of a viewer, his mood and facial characteristics.

The age is delivered with an error margin estimate generally lesser than 5 years. The mood indicates how happy or unhappy a person looks and doesn’t require the audience to exaggerate its expression. Facial characteristics cover the presence of glasses or sunglasses, as well as facial hair (beard and moustache).  In addition, the Expert version provides the VidiGates mode for counting entrances and exits within a zone, from a ceiling position.

The VidiReports range is now best illustrated with a set of interactive HTML 5 demos, which leverage the full capabilities for real-time face-responsive applications, through socket and websocket protocols.

VidiCenter, Quividi’s back-office solution that hosts and exposes the audience and traffic data generated by VidiReports, has gone through a major redesign. In its 4th version, VidiCenter is now based on an architecture spread across multiple servers, which quickly renders charts from millions of records.

The User Interface, based on HTML5, has now become fully responsive and makes heavy use of search, filters, treeviews and maps to display the right information to the user. An effort has been made in particular to call the attention of users on alerts as they are raised, with the instructions on how to resolve them.

The Charts module of VidiCenter, which has had over 3,000 dashboards created so far, comes now with thematic chart pages, high-level KPIs, period comparisons and one-click chart options. Multiple export possibilities (CSV, API, PDF, custom reports) are also offered.  

Finally, VidiStudio is a unique product designed to create campaigns that instantly react to the audience, with no code needed. The output is standard HTML 5 code, which guarantees that the campaign can be played within most CMS on the market.

When importing the various images, videos or HTML code that generally combine in an interactive campaign on DOOH screens, the designer now just has to indicate the conditions that should trigger the appearance of such elements and that’s it! For instance, a video could play when a woman of a certain age is present at a certain distance. Or a coupon would be displayed when a family appears in the field of view and one of its members is smiling.

The architecture based on “state machines” ensures that when a specified audience initiates a scenario, the focus remain on these persons, even if new ones appear in the field of view of the camera. This delivers a smooth, personalized experience to the audience captivated in the first place.

A video recording features also offers lots of time saving to the designer by recording a typical sequence involving an audience behaving in a certain manner and playing it back on command to test the campaign as it is being refined progressively.

The new products are available to Quividi customers and partners on beta and will be formally released on March 1st, 2016.
